They say to make this witty in order to engage people. I'm not snappy or the center of comedy in person, so I struggle with the idea of drumming up a personality in my bio that doesn't reflect who I really am. Instead, I can tell you I grew up in the beautiful Rocky Mountains of Colorado. You'll notice the dry smell of pine and the cold touch of winter in my writing because I love the mountains of my childhood home. I now live in the evergreen state of Washington with my husband, Nathan. The forests here have an earthy, musky odor and boast magnificent grand furs and gorgeous deciduous trees such as willows, alders and aspens. These too find their way into the stories I write.
Bit of background:
As you'll find out if you watch My Why video (below), writing's been a passion for me for a long time. I went to college knowing what degree I wanted. I received my bachelors in English Literature in 2008 from what is now Western State Colorado University. I believe studying literature helps expand my writing.
In 2010, I married my wonderful husband, Nathan.
The kids include one Shepard/Husky mix, and two small, purring fur-balls of unknown breed. One's kinda bengal/mutt and the other...um, well, even the vet doesn't have a good guess.
